December 14th, 2009UncategorizedThere are many reasons why herbs work, and the main reasons have a lot to do with historical use. The Chinese have been using herbs like ginkgo for thousands of years to stimulate mental alertness. In other parts of the world like Greece, people utilized the herb Queen Anne’s lace as a contraceptive. On the other hand, the Native Americans have been employing the herb Echinacea to combat infections for hundreds of years. It only makes sense that they are safe and effective to use. In fact, remember that up to 25 percent of concentional prescription drugs sold in pharmacies still come from plants, whether directly or indirectly. You might be surprised to know that Aspirin actually derives from the herb willow bark.
