Two-toned pout popped up last week at the Paris Fashion shows. Though definitely 80s inspired, the trick to making this look fresh and modern is keeping the rest of your face bare. Another tip: Slick the deeper color over both lips and then swipe a brighter color on just the top lip so there isn't such an intense contrast.

I just had to pop my head in for a quick second to let you all know about some of the great beauty deals swarming in drugstores this week. I suggest you jump online and check the ads or snag the ad from your Sunday papers because the deals are INSANE this week. I won't be indulging too much as I am saving up for my trip to Los Angeles at the end of the week.

Francesco Scavullo, 1960 photo for Bazaar
Diana Vreeland was Fashion Editor at Harper's Bazaar from 1937 to 1962. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, the fashion shoots she directed delivered fantasy to the American public. She has been quoted as saying, "Give ‘em what they never knew they wanted!” It works for me because I definitely want to be this woman right now. I am so tired of winter.

This photo was taken by Francesco Scavullo in Trinidad and Tobago in 1960. The model wears a white pique midriff-baring blouse over a long red and white cotton wrap skirt, both by Mr. Mort Sportswear. The Weiss bib necklace and the brooch-as-hair-ornament add just the right touch of the exotic. But it's the bare feet that make me feel the warm tropical breeze and the hot sand on the beach. Oh yeah, I definitely want to be this woman right now.

This holiday season, drama dominates movie screens. In this excerpt from Issue 75 of Make-Up Artist magazine's holiday movie preview, we go behind-the-scenes of Twilight. It’s about: Angst-y teen romance between a girl and her beau, a pretty-boy vampire who must fight the urge not to slurp her blood. Based on the bestselling young-adult series, shot in gloomily atmospheric Portland, Oregon and directed by Catherine Hardwicke.

Creed Royal Scottish Lavender is my favourite fragrance but I cannot wear it anymore.... Lavender is quite possibly the perfume note I enjoy most of all. It takes a very interesting position in the mix, straddling the top and heart notes, not as effervescent as most citrus heads but lighter than most floral hearts.

Men are often the odd ones out when it comes to skin care tips. In recent years there has been a little more education and information available in the media but until then men were pretty much left out in the cold when it comes to skin care advice and guideance.

Today, things have changed. We have realized how important the skin is to the overall health as it is the first line of defense against all manner of illnesses as well as the environment. Men have skin that needs protecting just as much as women do. In some cases, men need additional protection more because they aren’t using the products that protect from the sun the way women often do.

So, what can men do to keep their skin looking young and healthy?

    1)    Avoid using products that contain alcohol on the face. If you check out the ingredients of many common aftershaves you might find that they contain alcohol as one of the main ingredients. Alcohol is bad for many reasons. First of all, it irritates the skin. Beyond that, alcohol dries out the skin leaving it vulnerable to the types of damage that will make it look older and wrinkled.

    2)    Avoid exposure to sunlight. Women use cosmetics, lotions, and moisturizers that often include some sort of SPF protection. Men on the other hand do not have this luxury and often rely on nothing more than the brim of their favorite fishing or baseball cap to protect them from the sun. This is not nearly enough protection from the damage the sun can do to your face, eyes, hands, ears, and arms when left unprotected. If you do nothing else for the health of your skin, men, you need to use sunscreen. Even when you are going outside for a few measly minutes, sunscreen can make all the difference in the world.

    3)    Use products that have natural ingredients. Chances are that if you have a hard time pronouncing it, it was made in a laboratory somewhere. This doesn’t mean that all natural ingredients are easy to say but the more words you recognize in an ingredients listing the more likely it is that there are no nasty secrets on the other end like potentially harmful ingredients. There is nothing unmanly about using skin care products. Soap is even considered to be a skin care product by many and if you are going to clean, you may as well use a soap that isn’t going to dry out your skin and do more harm than good in the process. You might as well do a little moisturizing too.

Men, the women you love are taking action and making moves to look younger and more beautiful. If you don’t want people to start asking if she’s your daughter, it’s time to keep up. Take matters into your own hands and learn what you can do to restore your skin to its former glory. You’ll love the renewed interest in her eyes.

Here's a guy who doesn't mind being kept in your back pocket, and why should he? With his chocolate abs and nude attitude, he knows you'll be kissing him on every time you need a lip fix.

Secure enough to drop his drawers at the flick of a wrist, if you rub this guy the right way, he releases sexy pheromones.

    His nickname? The Pocket Rocket.

Sounds like I've been reading too many romance novels, but I'm actually talking about a new collection of glosses from Urban Decay. The 8 guys...sorry! shades....have everything a girl looks for in a gloss: Pout-plumping powers and a hint of shimmer.

Capped with holographic images of hunky boys with/without their togs (oh, stop being naughty. The underwear stays on), these tubes are flat - so they slide right into your pocket with no telltale, "Hi. I'm carrying gloss" bump.

Pocket Rockets hit Sephora stores and Sephora.com later this month. At $19 a pop, that's a man you just can't say no to.
